My Story
Dr. Jones grew up in West Virginia and attended WVU for under graduate studies. He remains connected to his home state and visits the family farm on a regular basis for hunting and relaxation. At WVU, Chemistry and Biology were the studies of choice prior to Optometry College.
Married to his wife, Julie in 1991, they settled in Northeast Ohio where Julie was an Audiologist at the Cleveland Clinic and Daniel practiced at a large Ophthalmology clinic until he opened his practices in the area. By 2010, the Ohio winters and a calling for the beach had prompted a sale of the practices, then a move to Manteo, where they reside today. Experience in so many practice settings has prepared Dr. Jones to deliver the very best to his patients as OBX OPTIX serves its community.

Optometrist
Dr. Daniel Jones has 28 years of experience in the eye care and optical business since his 1991 graduation from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. A Clinical Excellence Award and induction into the Gold Key Honor Society were attained as he achieved his Doctor of Optometry degree.
